Wahid bin Ahsan
Wahid bin Ahsan is the founder of User Experience and Human-centered Design Education in Bangladesh. His specialization is in Human-centered design, user interface design, visual design, usability evaluation, ISO 9241 (ergonomics of human-computer interaction), accessibility standards compliance, ISO/IEC 40500:2012, Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), Disability Discrimination Act (DDA), Section 508 Rehabilitation Act (USA), Disability Rights and Protection Act (Bangladesh) consultant, user experience architect, educator, and speaker. He founded UX Saturday with Wahid and co-founded User Study & Experience Research Hub (Userhub).
Wahid introduced UX Design to Bangladeshi students and professional’s community in 2011. Till now, he has given UX training for more than 9000 design and engineering professionals and students. Wahid bin Ahsan facilitated Design Thinking to professionals, students, and freelance designers at three consecutive UX Boot Camps in 2016, 2017, and 2018.
He carried out UX training workshops for Computer Science students public and private universities, such as, Khulna University of Engineering & Technology, Institute of Information Technology, University of Dhaka, American International University-Bangladesh, BRAC University, Begum Rokeya University – Rangpur, Dhaka University of Engineering & Technology – Gazipur.
The Information & Communication Technology Division, Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology appointed Wahid bin Ahsan as the Honorable Jury panel member of the selection committee for National Mobile Apps Award 2015 program. Wahid contributed to National Mobile Hackathon 2014 as Judge and Mentor. He has given UX training to the participants of EATL-Prothom Alo Apps Contest – 2015 in Bootcamp. He was also member of the honorable Jury Board for that competition.
